This problem is regarding my sister's husband. My sister has been married to him since last 7 years and have a 5 year old daughter. When they got married, he was working in merchant navy and was earning a handsome amount. He is a mechanical engineer. After the kid was born, my jijaji stopped going back to the ship and started living with his parents. He said I want to join some other business, I donot like to be away from family. He had some savings so we all ignored the things. He is also very very abusive with my sister.

My sister got tired of living in her inlaws place as it is in a rural area and shifted to my parents home. She is an educated lady and was teaching in a school before marriage. So she started taking tuitions, jijaji also shifted with her to our home and made our life a mess. Slowly, after a lot of fights, my sister rented a home and started tuitions from there. She is now the only one earning, she wanted to send her kid to a goos school. So now she is working day and night, taking tuitions. Jijaji is not working at all, no contributions to her earnings.....she is very very disturbed. I donot know how to solve the problem - my family has suggested so many jobs to him but he doesnot want to do anything.

he fights, stays at home, doesnot meet with his parents...Please suggest me what I can do or what my sister can do???

Sorry abt ur sis's terrible life.well u did not mention whether ur sister still loves him (sounds strange ) or she wants 2 get rid of him.I suggest u consult a psychiatrist & discuss this prob.In the meanwhile try to figure out what is making ur jiju behave like this ? IS he hvng any vices?is he spending on something u all r not explained abt ,i mean he doesnt reveal where the money goes?
Also find out whether there is history in his family abt any psychological problem?well most people think that psychological problem means behaving crazy but u know what this too i.e., not swowing interest in working is such a problem .
Dont hv a stigma abt meeting a psychiatrist ...u may comeup with a solution & u never knw u may even save ur sis's marriage.
ALL THE BEST! whatiswrongwithyoupeople replied. He is a burden - not pulling his weight. Ask your sister to file for a divorce, and if she is too scared (family, society etc), then she should see a marriage counsellor to resolve the situation.
