Girls we have just 4 wks to go.Anytime from 38th we have to be prepared.Just wanted to remind all of you to start getting the hospital bag ready over the next 2 weeks.
Get your bedrooms or nurseries set up to recieve the little Bumpkin!Go for a movie with hubby dear&spend some one on one time these next 2 wks.
Wash the baby's clothes&keep them organized.
Sleep&eat on time over the next few wks as we prepare for the marathon[my lamaaz instructor's idea that labour is like a 'marathon' so we need to gear our bodies for it].I have little more basic shopping this weekend at babies r us then have to pack the bag&clear my bedroom.

1st of all congrats on ur mom's visa..Itz good to know that now u will have lot of pampering...As of me i still have 3 more weeks to go..i am pretty much done with my nursery even though the baby will be sleeping with for the 1st few months.My nursery theme is Bright Imaginarium..it took almost 2 mons to finish of the nursery,initially started with the room painting,which took a while & also the stuffs i ordered thru online took a while .only thing left to be completed is to organize the accessories in 3 diff location,baby nursery,my bedroom & one in the downstairs..rest all over.just need to shop little bit of baby things..i am so lucky have Babies'r us right next to my door.also in our customs we r not allowed to go out for the 1st 40 days.so i need to stock up all the groceries etc...still not worried my aunty will be here so she can cook & take care of the baby while i rest ,also she can do shopping if i need anything..thatz all 4 now ..catch u later..take care

Dont worry too much abt shopping.
Today is the 10th Day I already went out twice for shopping leaving babies with mom for 2-3hrs. So dont get paranoid if u dont finish shopping, jus get basics for 1-2 weeks that shld do.

U r right. Its good to b prepared.
Get all baby stuff organised in a closet. Wash all clothes, I didnt wash recieving blankets and burp/wash cloths.
In the hosp bag for mom I used only toiletries, nursing bras. U can use their night gowns and panties they give disposable coz it will all get stained.
Jus get one home coming dress for u.
For babies, get car seat, infant head rest for carseat(very imp and useful), a dress that doesnt wrap meaning hands and legs shld be free to put in carseat.
Get a pump or rent one if u plan to use from day 1 at home.
I think u will learn it all one by one.
In my labor I never used any lip balm or other things they mentioned. Practically u dont use anything that time. Our bedroom shld be very clean too, coz babies sleep with us at night one in the crib. And in day they r in their room in another crib. So both places need to be very clean and ready

Thanks for the reminder,i too have to get few things will try to go this weekend.My in-laws already got few clothes and warm clothes for the baby,also have set the crib,and got a cute little bassinet also,well our bedroom is looking more like a nursery but its fun to get up early morning and feel like the baby is already in our room.

Uma Radhika replied. Thanks manvi, just made a list of things i have to do this weekend, most essential things done. One imp. item in list is to meet the pediatrician which is pending.
Hoping won't be too early, not handed over my work and plus need a few days to prepare our home too.
Are u still working? Do u get maternity leave when u are in training?
I will be taking off a week before due date..lets hope everything is done and delivery is on time.

Hope u are doing fine.As u said we have only 4 more weeks to go.The days are passing very fast.I think anu,u,radhika,myself,vidhya,sweta,suni are almost arround 36th week.Wondering who will have the baby first in this list.We have our due dates very close to each others and i think the order may change.I pray that all october moms must have a smooth delivery.
I have started to pack my hospital bag.Waiting for my MIL to bring some stuffs from india to keep in that bag.
Regarding the nursery it almost done.I have washed the baby clothes in plain water first as i don't want the color to stick on to each other.Planning to wash the clothes i bought and what my MIL is bringing in dreft this weekend.
I have also started cleaning the house and i will finish it today.Planning to take rest after my MIL comes.All the best for your shopping.Have you bought the crib?.babies r us are having some sale this month.so try to get things from there.okay manvi take care and i have lots of work to do today.catch u later.
