Finally,finally went for my GTT test this morning.Phew--a relief..
Will get the results soon,am sure it will be okay.
Padmaja,it was nice chaating with you on msn the other day.Dont worry abt the baby turning....they do have a mind and will of their own and turn any time they wish.
My lil one inside is having a gr8 time..there is a ganapati pandal near our apartment building with music most evenings and nights and movie screenings etc.....quite a change from the usual peace.

well,GTT test went off okay.I had to give 1 fasting blood/urine sample and 4 more at 1/2 hour intervals.I was tired at the end of it.I was surprised at the results as one of the readings shows an unnatural high.Otherwise all okay.Went to see my gynaec as well as my appointments have now increased in frequency.Am in my 32 nd week now.
She says im doing fine,baby has moved down and she has assured me that i have to take it as it comes.No guarantees of a normal but will try anyways.
Sakhi..due date is so difficult to predict..as for me my u/s shows an earlier due date whereas LMP shows a later one.With babies one never knows but from 37 weeks onwards,it can happen.
I have had a sudden spurt in weight 1.5 kilos in 2 weeks which alarmed me at first but doc says im doing fine.
Padmaja,i get attacks of nausea in the evenings soon after i have woken up from a nap.Maybe u should pop in something to eat as soon as u wake up.nausea can also arise due to low sugar levels after a long gap in eating.
Nivea,how r u doing,my appetite this time round is not as good as last times.No urges,eat for the sake of eating!!!does it happen to all 2nd time moms???

I am having bouts of morning sickness and I am not very happy about them either. I thought I am over that phase.
I have a cervix culture test coming up and an ultra sound to check the position of the baby. So will keep you guys posted.

Being this far made me feel nostalgic reading to your post.It was good chatting with you the other day, bet you got bored after hearing me go on and on !!! Did you get your GD results? I am sure everything is super fine with you and your baby.How is ananya doing? Hope to see you soon online.
Sakhi, it must have been fun watching your baby. In less than 2 months you will be holding your baby, the thought is thrilling right? Were you given U/S pictures? Yup, looks like I am the first in the group but you never know when our babies decide to make the entry !! They say two weeks here or there right? We stopped going long distances from last week onwards just to Indian grocery or to a mall, that's about my social life ! I am sure all this is worth it but it can be tough at times.Your weight gain is good and so is your baby's weight, that's a great news.As far as LMP and EDD dates go there will be this confusion for many since no body can have testbook pregnancies. As nivea aptly pointed out prepare yourself for the earlier date.

Also girls this weekend we went to \";babies r us\"; as my lamaze instructor gave us a list of things to be taken to the hospital to prepare for the baby's home coming like head rest for the car seat, onesies etc so we just got to see them.My mom was so impressed with the store that she kept saying we can get lost there. By the way we bought a crib and matress for the baby, so begins our shopping !

Friday I went for a scan. Dr. said baby is 1.8 kg now (according to scan) I have put on 10 kg in 7.5 months, I hope this should be all right. Dr was very happy with the weight gain and baby's growth (I guess, this is all because of baby showers I had in india :) ) We could not see baby's face clearly. The position is head down (on left side), hands on right side down, tummy on left side top and legs on right side top. Dr said baby would mostly not move from this position since there is not much room for the movements. I have started with my bi-weekly appointments now. I get lots of kicks and moves, sometimes it really hurts since kicks are really very very strong. Also I can feel hiccups.
Girls, according to my LMP date my due date is 9th Oct but with ultra sound it is 19th Oct. I don't know which one to follow.
Nivea, how was your scan? Do not worry much even if you feel decrease in movements, since it is very common these days because there is no room for baby to move. And each pregnancy is different even if both are your own, do not compare this one with your previous one.

You know what girls..I'm planning to go for a scan today.... I still feel that My baby's movements are not very satisfactory ... Perhaps I'm not being fair in comparing this baby's movements to my previous'..
But I feel going for a scan will bring me some releif at least ...What do you'll think?

Nice to hear about ur U/S..isnt it a great feeling to see the baby during a scan...And yes..teh baby 's weight seems appropriate for the weeks..isn't it .
And sakhi,,,I guess the discrepancies in due dates always almost crop up....2 weeks on either side is the norm....dont worry about it..Just preparing yourself for the earlier date makes sense.
In fact my EDD is 29 th oct...and thru scan last time it showed 22 nd OCt !! So..we're all sailing in the same boat..heheheh
I could'nt go for my scan yesterday..since my Doc was booked till 9 :30 in the night !! Can u beleive it !! Just shows that we got so many expectant mothers in abu dhabi !! ;)
And sakhi,,Your right about the movements...I know its not fair to compare...But yet..You know how one tends to panic....!!!!
