i told doc that my grandparents generation had a history of retards. so hes suggested some genetic counselling and also amnio testing if we are intrested..
have anyone of you had amnio or been suggested an amnio...or had one anytime earlier??
i have heard that there are slight chances of miscarriage. also i was wondering if we go through this test and figure out there is some defect ,is there a way to terminate the pregnancy at this stage(iam 12.1 wk today)i am assuming it will be almost 14-15 wk when my test would probably be done..

anyone any info would be of great help!!

jenn,
i dont have much info about this. but i think during the 16-20th week there is blood test to determine any defects with the child. if there is a problem they might suggest amniocentesis.
