i felt happier whne my parents weren' t around... not like they really understood us anywayz.i remember many many hours away from my parents who fought all the time. they worked for me only, and today me and my sister are comfortable bcoz they worked hard and saved money for us. they couldnt give us time but they gave us this comfortable life...

time is everything... how can you say money is the same???? i remember my dad gave up drinking and his friends to spend time with me and my sister... and look, it made him happier, it gave us a responsible father, it stopped his bad habits, so i think parents spending time with kids is more important. Also, your parents are not supposed to earn for you, you are supposed to earn for yourself.

I agree 100% with this article. I feel parents are obsessed with their own lives nowadays and have become strangers to their kids. We really need to spend more time with them, or our kids too will become like those vella boys and girls we saw while growing up in college...
