Routine Tests:Archie - advise needed

Hi Archie,

I miscarried in July and my doctore diagonised as a blighted ovum since the baby hadn't developed at all as shown in sonogram. Now I'm pregnant again and am 8weeks 2 days today. My hcg levels on day 15 dpo (1 day after expected period) was 830 and on 6 weeks 2 days I had a sonogram which showed baby with heartbeat of 141.

I had nausea since week 4 only this time. It started as queasiness and got worst by 6 weeks. Now, in 7th week it became less to the point where for 1-2 days I was feeling very very normal, and also breast tenderness has become slightly less but again today I had terrible nausea --my worst every yet! COuldn't even drink water and keep it down. Is this symptoms increase/decrease normal? Does it mean baby is not progressing well? I am losing sleep over it but my doc thinks I am only panicking --I hope she is right and everything is fine with baby.

I really want to know what you feel about this.
Thanks a lot in advance!

I know how you feel . I miscarried two years ago due to blighted ovum and had a very hard time coming to terms with it. But the good news is that I conceived and now have a 5-month old baby boy. So relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

The easiest thing is to take each step at a time. Wait for your next sonogram - every step forward will make you feel more confident.

Take care

Thanks a lot Archie! I am feeling better now. I am trying to think positively and tell myself to celebrate this pregnancy too.

Thanks for your advise again and making time to reply to my crazy, stressed questions! I will keep in touch. Hopefully I will have good news to share with you once I cross the 12 week mark. I'm praying!
