hey hital, vidya and ohers,

Vidya, I am completely agree with u that all homeopathic medicines are not hramless. We should give medicine in proper dose, potentiay and after consulting with doc only. Regarding teething medicine combination 21, I am using only after consulting with doc. My lots of friends has also used this medicine. This medicine is a combination of Calc phos and ferrom phos.
Hital, I am bangalore based, so if u know anybody who is coming from here to yr area, I could arrange medicine for u.
Love to all LIL :-)
Bye
Sona

Hi Hetal
Nice to hear from u earlier.
My son also is toothless, waiting 4 first one to come.
Went to nurse yesterday, who on checking said that his gums are swollen and suggested that I give him boiled long pcs of carrot to chew on.she said this will help pushing teeth up so would start doing that from today.
Thanx 4 suggestions abt food, will try following them.
I will post new msg (and pics) soon abt travelling adventures with aaroh ;-)
Lotsa luv to nirja

hey saral, kiran,vidya,
thanx.i will surely lookup dr around me, if this is ok to give.
Vidya, i agree to you about homeo.i have had personal experiences with its medicines and its miracle !
Saral, i have started giving nirja all boiled and abit cooled pieces of various vegies, since last month, for the same reason, dr said, and another big plus is,they eat theirselves atleast something,,, if that goes in their mouth, we dont have to make them eat those spoonfuls ;) LOL
good luck to you too :)

kiran, have heard about calphos,,i used to eat that :) and all in our family does,,so i guess should b ok for that..though i need to check with the age we were given that.., as i remember that my brother also used to take it..not sure though.thanx for the site address, will get 1,but will make sure first.

i absolutely agree with Vidya when she says that these medicines though harmless are medicines after all.
Hetal, i strongly advice u to research a little bit about the medication and also the site or doctor u wish to purchase the medices from .
As i mentioned earlier i had consulted my maternal uncle (back in India)who is in practice for over 30yrs now. The reason why i'm mentioning this is coz there are many quacks who present themselves as doctors so plz be aware of this .
regards to U and Nirja,
kiran

Subject:  A word or two about homeo medicines

My brother-in-law is a homeo doctor and a very good one. He had a very reputed and busy practice back in Kerala and now has the same in the Middle East. Almost 95 % of the time we have given our son only homeo medicines.

So here are some thing that you need to know while using homeo medicines. Even though homeo medicines are harmels should use them unnecessarily coz after all they are medicines ( not my opinion my bil's) especially for babies. Because the base for all homeo medicines is alcohol. Another thing with them is that you can't genaralize medicines like english medicines .Yes chamomilla is for pain but only for pain with certain symptoms. If th esymptos are different the medicne is different. a small eg, for throat pain the medicine for throat pain on the right side of u'r throat is different from that when u have the pain on the left side. So in our case we have a whole homeo medical shop at home (we bring the medicines from India). And each time our kids fall sick we call up my bil and he listens to the symptoms and prescribes the medicine and dose.

The key to homeopathy is identifying the syptoms correctly. Only a good doc can do that. and that too once u have about 3-4 doses of the correct medicine u will see a huge improvement. If not that means the medicne is not correct. I know this against the genral impression about homeopathy that u have to take the medincines for a long time.

An example my son had sever fever at 2 months. the ped here didn't do anything said he was too small to give medicine, worst case she said we should take to er. After 4 doses of my bil's homeo medicine his fever was gone. To this day our ped calls him miracle baby (we didn't tell her).

Now about the tooth gel, i don't think it is necessary unless the baby gets very cranky and irritated. A cold cloth or a water filled teether kept in the fridge are very good.

Hope this helps.
Vidya

Hi Hetal,
A very Good morning to U as well.
I had picked up both the medicines from India. Once they are over i'm thinking of consulting a local Homeo doctor . Maybe u can look up if there are any homeo doctors in ur area .or else there is this link where u can purchase the medication http://www . hahnemannlabs . com/
About Calphos u can start it anytime after the 6th month and Chamomilla is basically a pain reliever . I was told to give it instead of Gripe Water i.e. whenever i feel the baby is a little fussy due to pain or gas.
Hope this helps,
regards,
Kiran

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
