Health Issues:infant coughing since last one month

Name: raashi Hi,
I hope i get some advice from this forum. I have a 5 month old baby who has been coughing for over a month now . Dr gave him a course of antibiotics ...meanwhile I also got cough and cold and by the time he recovered he got it again from me ...it got so bad that within a gap of 15 days agin he had to be put on antibiotics. Now this time he has finished all his medicines has improved a lot but still i cant say that he has totally recovered. He is not having any running nose but he sneezes at times and couging is off and on throughout the day .I went to the doctor he said baby is absolutely fine and will recover slowly and the coughing will subside. But im somehow not satisfied.
in 5 months this is 3rd time he got this cough and cold prblm.
I dont knw it could be becoz of the weather here in bangalore...almost every other person is having this prblm ...im afraid is this chronic bronchitis or something?
otherwise the baby looks quite healthy, is gaining gud weight is happy not cranky but im still worried.
pls provide ur inputs. im getting sleepless nights over his coughing.

Relax Raashi

Try to keep baby as much warm as possible with socks and cap always.
try avoiding going out where crowd is more.I live in U.S but from B,lore.

In bangalore at ayurvedic stores u get \" KASTOORI MAATRE\" ,I give my baby with out fail when he has cold n it helps.

Also when u give headbath try to dry it soon.there r many things that u can do.try nilgiri oil,vicks chest rub.
If your breast feeding u avoid food which causes cold( curds)also after u take headbath try to dry ur hairs n do not feed immdtly.

I just delivered n my baby is 51/2mths old i have to protect him a lot as it snows verybadly here.....my mom advised me all these...so hope this helps and your little one get well soon..
