well, they got an ultrasound done (one of their friend is a doc, so they could work around the law in India)around her 18th week or so and they were told that it was a girl...
They are quite excited about it.. but I told them to be open to the possibility that it could be a boy too cause 18th week was just too early...

Keeping our fingers crossed that it is a girl in there.. :)

I do remember you giving me her suggestion about mint for heartburn and all the preggo jokes. It's double the joy for your parents, that too almost at the same time.

Do they know if it is a boy/girl?

my mom and dad will have two grand children within a few days/weeks... my brother (lives in India) is going to have his first baby too and s-i-l's due date is 2 weeks after mine... :)

I am hoping my aunt will be able to see my little one too and so far she can hear and see but is deteriorating pretty fast... I am praying for her too...

I am sorry to hear about your aunt. Is she able to hear and see. Hope she'll be able to see your little bean's picture soon and my prayers for her to make it till the delivery.

It's good to see both mom & dad, I am sure they'll be the happiest too. Is your's their first grandchild?

So sorry Vindhya, that really sucks..its wierd that asked her to come in for a interview....but dont worry, you, hubby and the baby can do a lot of bonding together and I am sure you guys will be able to handle it till your m-i-l gets to make it....

I was asking my mom to stay back for a couple of extra weeks too becoz of my aunts condition but she insists on being here and dad cannot be without mom, so he is going to be here too....
So, I am both Happy that they can be here but at the same time sad cause my mom will not be able to be with her sis becoz of me....

In any case, remember, if you ever need anything and I mean anything (even if it is a cup of sugar) - dont hesitate to ask me... I will send you my number too,so you can get in touch me...

Just wanted to tell you that they have called my m-i-l for a personal interview. The earliest date we could get was Dec 5th. Hope to deal with all this well without any support from the family.
