For babies below 2 yrs once or twice a week we can apply soap. Iguess your son has got scared whenever you take your hand towards his face and he starts wailing. And further be gentlye when you apply. For the time being I can advise you to stop applying soap and bathe hom with plain water.

hi Shital,
My 10 month old daughter doesn't like it either if I apply soap or lotion on her face. Try keeping some bath toys handy, or distracting with some song.

My daughter also started crying during hair washing recently. I now apply less oil on her head, but massage well. I apply shampoo and rinse just once. she cries briefly when i rinse her head with water. it's the last thing i do during her bath.

i then hold her for some time till she's better and continue drying.

you can also try sitting in the tub, and holding the baby in cradle position. your husband can pour the water.it won't fall on the face.

hope it helps.

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
