I am in the 10th week of my pregnancy and i am experiencing white vahinal thick discharge since last 2 days. I read it is normal to get thin white discharge in the first and second trimester but i am worried coz its like thick
mucos discharge we have before we get periods. Any one experienced this? Shd i consult my doctor?

i have a lil white dischrage too...and by obgyn said its normal..nothing to worry..its because of elevated estrogen levels...and completely normal...if u have had a pap smear much of the suspence is already cleared...
Good luck ! BTW i just completed 12 weeks today and I saw my baby on the utrasound. It wa svery exciting to me so see something so lil inside of me all excited and dancing :)

Poppins,
mucous plug is developed and is going to protect your baby through out the pregnancy.
Vaginal discharge is absolutely normal and may increase the amount later in third trimester.
As said by hopingfortejas if it has no odor or color you are mostly doing good. If it's itching then mostly a yeast infection. Even if you have an infection won't hurt baby. Just put your mind at ease give a call to your Ob and review the situation if possible.

hi Poppins ...

Hey ...

from what i have read around ... as long as the discharge does not smell, you do not have itching and it is white , i think you are fine .....

maybe, just tell your doc in your next visit and you can gdet tested if you have any infections ...

even i get a lot of discharge on some days ..infact sometimes .. i am scared when i feel something coming out that i rush to the restroom hoping it is not blood ...!!

I am a lot releived now. I do not have any itching or odour in the discharge so i hope its all fine and i do not need to worry my doctor. Its white and not any other colour. I will surely speak abt it in my next appointment which is in the third week of june...long way to go...Hope You are doing fine hopingfortejas.
