hi friends: i am posting after a long time... I hope everyone is doing fine. I have shifted to my inlaws place and have settled down. Have shown the local doc and situation seems under control. Now I am no more on bed rest as doc says now even if i deliver it's ok. position of the baby is head down but not engaged. but my BP sometimes shoots up ( as high as 150/94) which i have to watch and have to take medicine. Does anyone face this prob. ??? is it common to have high BP at this stage??? Can anyone suggest what activities one should do to increase the chances of normal delivery at this stage ( 9th month )?

cheers and all the best,
pooja

hey pooja
good to see your post ... i dont have any knowledge regarding high BP except that one needs to cut back on salt a great deal ... but sure you already know that.
i hope others on the board are able to help you with some more advice on this ...

i have been having braxton hicks contractions everyday now and my doc feels i could deliver any day now ... when i met her this monday, i was 1cm dilated ... i am seeing her on the 21st again for an ultrasound ... my mom is here and that's been a blessing ...

hope you are having a restful time at your in-laws place ... you take care and good luck for a safe delivery ...

love,shobha

Hey Pooja,
Nice to know that you are doing better now. Bed rest must be really boring na? Keep taking the medicines & hope you have an easy delivery. I hope we all have an easy one :-).
Do you know when is your due date. Is it preponed like others?
best of luck with everything

about labor read my posts on OCT 2005 board.
bp high can be a concern but not abnormal that your bP goes up sometime. If you are good with medicine all should go fine.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
