What I usually do is feed my child by keeping his head elevated on a pillow till he finishes drinking his milk and maybe keep him sometime more that way till he seems to sleep off and then place him on flat surface. You could always apply tiny amount of vicks vaporub on her chest and back to make breathing easy. Be careful no to use more since it causes a burning infection. Then put a drop or two..not more than that of nasal spray to soften the mucous and then use the bulb. First squeeze the air out by pressing the bulb and then gently put the tip inside her nostril and release the bulb. It usually releases the mucous from inside if not try once more. My son runs and screams if I bring the bulb near his nose but I have to restrain him and do it...feels bad but what choice do I have. Its ok if he cries for 3 secs than cry the whole night due to congestion. So all the best. Try doing it when ur daughter is in a good mood and try to distract her with some toys or songs.
