we hv a 5 yr old daughter.my hubby on the first nite itself told me that we shd hv only one child.but when my relatives and friends tell me its better to hv one more child...i get confused.will a single child be more arrogant and selfish than other children,will she feel lonely...please reply....thankyou. LN replied. What are ur ideas? Did u agree to what ur hubby said then? YOu both need to talk the pros and cons. Are u re-thinking bcos of other ppl. You need to evalauate ur situation with ur hubby. Let not others(including parents) decide whats good for you. The worst scenario is where one spouse pressurizes the other one to have a kid. There are many couples who have 1 kid. True that they wont hv a sibling which is very helpful and supportive in young age as well as in future. But the decision is entirely yours. Your daughter is already five....if u want to hv a kid then u should go for it o.w there will a lot of age diff and kids can't even play together which beats the whole purpose. Friend replied. Hi BB - The decision is between you and your husband not your family or friends. People change their minds, maybe your husband has changed his mind but you will only know that when you two talk.

Don't let what others say influence your decision because you will be pregnant, you will be raising your child, you will be dealing with your child on a daily basis NOT all these other people.

Just teach your only child to share, to be kind, to be polite, to be caring, etc. As for your child being lonely, just make sure that she has friends to play with during the day.
