Hi Likitha,

I would suggest you to get more information on other fertility centers before going to Gunasheela. I have got the feedback saying Senior doctors don' t see patients until their intervension is needed. Same is with Dr. Kamini Rao. I wanted an appointment and they told me that it will take at least 3 months to meet the senior doc. Other junior doc' s only assist in the initial diagnosis. Try out ' Ankur' on West of Chord Road or ' Diacon' on 1st Blk Rajajinagar for IVF.

Hi,
I am also planning to get IVF done in Gunasheela. So have you finally decided to go there or are you planning to for some other doctor.
I met Dr Sr. Gunasheela and she asked me to get \" pipel endometrial aspiration\" test done prior to going for IVF. Have you heard of the same or you know anyonw who has done the same?

Hi Likitha,
You' re right, Gunasheela Sr does not attend patients, in fact even after my attempt there failed, we had to ask and take an appointment to meet her. All the imp procedures are done by junior docs.. like pick up and ET.. Also I went into OHSS after my cycle and had to be treated for that too! Above all, they counselled my to go in for Frozen embryo transfer, which is known to have low success rates than normal ET.. the result was no success. and more mental and financial torture.. I feel cheated when I think of that place even today! My advice.. stay away!

Hi all, i would like post my opinion about gunasheela.

Like you all i read the review over net for good infertility doctors and finally decided to visit gunasheela trusting the reputation of dr sulochana. Its a mixed review. On the first visit duty doctor looked at my problem- PCO and said i need to undergo HSG test, then if tubes are normal then i need to undergo laproscopy, if it doesnt work out then will go for iui and then ivf. All these terms were new to us, and we felt horrified and thought the net reviews are correct about gunasheela, but anyway after 30 minutes doctor sulochona gunasheela was available and we met her. she asked us to come once i get periods. and she dint mention any operation or anything. she is 70+ and we were shocked how will she treat/operate patinents . her hands wwere shaking constantly.. then the gunasheela trip started from the next month. They asked me to do HSG test, results were normal and immediately she asked us to go for IUI. we were in hurry and were ok to go for iui. But we were shocked when we had to fill the forms for iui by looking at the attitude of staff there, when they asked us do u want to go for iui/ifv.. it was sold like a commodity. But i suggest you people not to take such things to heart. they see patients like us in hundred daily and one cannot be emotional. ONLY HUSBAND AND YOUR PARENTS CARE FOR YOU. DONT EXPECT EMOTIONAL CARE/SUPPORT FROM DOCTORS/STAFF IN HOSPITALS. Make sure doctor is not hurrying in treatment and understand all the possible tests are done before going for iui. My first iui was successful and i conceived but baby dint have heart beat.. :( so i had a missed miscarriage. when i went there doctor(duty doctor) gave tablets for missed miscarriage and asked me next month for new iui cycle!!!!! we were shocked to hear such a response. we were under the trauma of abortion and doctor is asking us to come next month for another iui. we decided not to go to them . Then after 2 months we visited DR MADHURI PATIL REFERRED BY DR JAYA BHAT. THEN REALISED GUNASHEELA IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN DR PATIL. dONT KNOW HOW THE RESULTS WILL BE FROM PATIL´ S CLINIC. BUT GUNASHEELA IS NOT ALL THAT BAD.. THEY MAY hurry for iui/ivf. and also do not expect sympathy/care/support from doctors/nurse/staff at hospital. they cannot be nice to each and every person. We know our problem they cannot respond to everybodys problem i used to cry at these doctors behavior, but now i have accepted that its ok if they behave like that as long as am getting some good results. good luck for all the ladies there..

hi lithika
i underwent treatment in gunasheela, i conceived inthe first attempt.they are good. in my case i did not hv any issues it was a pure male factor infertility so ivf was successful.
but then do bear in mind, gunasheela is a crowded place and if u want a personal touch or custom service it may not be available and also u hv to get used to the waitng time.
but having said that, the drs there are very professional and they have a good knowledge of wat they are doing esp the sr. gunasheela she is the best.
all the best

hi,
sorry i do not visit this site often.and sorry for delayed response/
i did not have to undergo the aspiration procedure. our case was a pure male infertility and i was normal. the sr. dr asked me to undergo a laproscopy just to rule out any issue before ivf.
yes litika, both the gunasheela´ s are busy and hence u will be attended by the junior drs only ..as long as the junior drs know the info they do share the info. while undergoing ivf procedure though everyday your file will go to the sr gunasheela them and they recommend the next course of actin and if incase if u want to meet them ..they will ask u to wait and they make time to meet you. when i was undergoing treatment there even i thought why they are acting so busy.
but the truth is i realised when i delivered there..there are normally 4-6 deliveries there ..if there are any complication they need to attend it..and also during the final stages of labour either one of them is always there.
so if you can wait and talk to them.. it will be good. and also one thing i liked abt them was that they talk facts and the success rate etc..is visibly put in the charts..and tehy also tell you what to expect.
and again..as far as i am concerned when i was undergoing the treatment i was on the net trying to find out more details etc.so i did not have to bug the doctors. when u know what is it they are doing.. u will be more relaxed.
but also do bear in mind..ivf as a procedure normally delivers 30-40% success rate only. so dont get too disheartened if you do not meet success the first time. there are people who have conceived after repeated trials. i know it is a huge emotional and monetary burden.
all the best in your attempts. reach out to me if you need more info.
