my son is 3 and half yrs old... the prob is he is a v.slow talker.. he started talking only at the age of 2.5 yrs.. now he is talking putting 4-5 words together.. but it is not clear.. only i can u.stand wat he talks.. if he talks to any stranger, they cannot u.stand.. i need to repeat to them wat he said.. is this normal.. wat can be done to improve his talking? is this a matter to worry... pls help me.. dnyanesh replied. As far as my knowledge goes, this is normal. Espcly boys grow slower than that of girls.I am a verygood father is what others says. I like kids & I have seen some cases like this. An imp. point which matters is how mutch do you speak to him irresp. of what he understand. keep on talking, telling stories. This happens when parents r less talktive. This is happening in my own family. My son started speaking @ 1.5 clearly. My nef. is of same age speak very less & that to not clear. We in my family are talketive & in my sisters family they are less. At the end I am not an expert but sharing view with my exp. the best you consult a doctor if you feel so. Hope yur son will become a tortoise who will win the race at the end. Can you please help me with ICSE affiliated schools in & arround mumbai ?

Dnyanesh kalpana replied. I don't think you need to panic. Boys are usually late to start talking. Its very important for kids to be around people who speak a lot and make them speak.
Also, allow him to mingle with peer group. He would pick up very easily.

I suggest you ask him lot of simple questions and allow him to answer. If he doesn't, give him the answer and ask him to repeat.
