are u a doctor....i have some fluid collection outside both tubes, and am sugested tube tieing so that i cn have a successful ivf. i am being treated by dr firuza in mumbai. u have any suggestions on this. as i have never had an ivf beofre, i don know how i shall respond to the drugs....i have taken a 2nd opinion and she too is of the same opinion.what if i do an ivf before tieing tubes, what are my chances semi replied. I read your post and here is my feedback. I am not a doctor but try to help other based upon my knowledge which I gained by my own experience and research. I know how important it is to educate yourself before starting all this treatment since you can waste lot of time just blindly following your doctors (which happend with me for yrs.)
The biggest problem with indian doctors are that though they are really good but they don' t spend enough time with their patients answering their questions or gaining their confidance. which can leave any one in dark with confusion. I have heard that dr firuza is one of the best dr. in india in this field. Her observation seems right to me though I am not a expert here. What I know is that fluid in your tubes can decrease the success of IVF. It was strongly recommended that you have them tied. I think it has something to do with fluid leaking in areas where it wasn' t supposed to and hence it can cause any infection and make your ivf failed. I think it would have to do with the amount of fluid, too. Normal tubes are smaller that angel hair pasta. if you have lot of fluid than the size of your tubes will be inlarged and that can also cause ectopic pregency (though chances are slim to none) but dr.s wants to do what they need to do to maximize your chances. I suggest you to go with your dr. advice. they are right in their observation.
