I do not know what is going on or what is going to happen to me. I was put on FSH Inj. but as I did not respond well my doctor advised me for an IUI. Now this cycle we are going to do IVF. I was put on Inj.Menogon and Inj.Decapeptyl for 7 days from day2 and later my dosage was increased from 4 aps to 5 amps for another 4 days. After scan the doctors say that I have not responded well and that I only have 4 well developed follicles and the rest are small. There is absolutely no problem with my husband. All my previous harmone tests are normal, except that I have mild endometriosis and slightly elevated sugar level for which I am taking Metformin. I cannot understand why I am not responding well to the doctors expectation. I would like to know if I am given higher dose of injections will I be able to respond well ie.at least 10 well developed follicles. Any way I am going to do IVF as per the doctors advice and keep my fingers crossed. I took all kind of nuts like almond, cashewnut, walnut and pista and also took protein rich diet but inspite of all my efforts I am confused. Ok guys can you tell me the diet habits and how much rest I should take after Embryo transfer and some tips. I think we will not be able to try another cycle due to financial reasons so please pray for me. semi replied. How many egg you will have with infertility injections depends upon several factor. Most important factor is your age. Overian reserve starts diminishing in early 40 in normal cases. But this also varies person to person. Some people have early overian loose in early age where as some produce 20 egg in each cycle at the age of 40. Some time your overian age is more than your real age if you are not able to respond well with highest doage of injection and in 30 or early 40. If you have not responded well in this cycle than your dr. needs to give you maximum doage of these injection ( there is a limit and they cannot ask you to take more than that doage and power too) I am not sure about this if you are getting treated in india. but this will give you some insight. They also precribe sometime some small tablet (which is usually given to cancer patient ) but it has a reason why they precribe to IVF patient. It make your egg size big enough and developed them fully. There is absoulety no diet which can increas your egg count. This is just a myth. but of course you need to eat healthy and fresh food regularly. You may consider accupancture at the same time. There is no proven facts that it helps to produce more eggs but this is something most commom practice seen with ivf patients. Hope it helps
