i am new to this website. I am going through a hell and need help from everybody there. My lil one 7 months has light eczema ( atopic dermatistis). i am really not able to cope up with it. She has light one but somehow i am not able to help my thoughts. I am living in a hell...I got sick because of the thoughts that will she ever outgrow it. Kya wo kabhee theek hogi...
doc made a rub & prick test with wheat , milk egg and soya..it was neg. I am still afraid of everything. I am nightmares, looking in them that she is getting red and scrathing...( she gets very mild rashes on face n ears)...
I am spoiling my family n married life...my husband has started staying long in office...he was always there to support me and helped me through this too since last 4 months..day n nihgt...now he says i am exhausted....he says I need to work for the family....
please help me....I feel like dying....

even rub nutmeg and make apaste and apply..... coconut oil is very gud,,,

My daughter(she is 1 yr old now) also has this. Her face (cheeks) & legs below the knees isaffected a lot. And if they keep scratching that part when it itches it becomes worse. If you are in India, i would advise you to show ur kid to an Ayurveda doc which cures slowly but very progressive and long term positive affects
For immediate help you can use Secelia cream/lotion which helps a lot

And on the stress part, i have been facing the wrath for one or the other reason. Most of time husbands are not emotional , so they take it easy. But we women want to see that everything is perfect and strive for it, though you earn more than your husband. That is the way the world is. So dont get stressed out. Try out these methods, as i am telling out of practical experience

I know how you feel, or rather, how your baby feels. I am 26 and have eczema and this is what I do.

First of all make sure your baby is only bathed in Johnson and Johnson baby wash....not the bar of soap, but the liquid soap. This is very mild and should not irritate your baby' s skin too much. After the bath, you should pat dry the skin and apply either Eucerin or Cetaphil lotion...thses are fragrance free and hypoallergenic. These are very safe to use. The key to taking care of sensitive skin is to have a good balance...not too oily and not too dry.

When you dress the baby, only dress the baby in 100 percent cotton (no nylon, polyester or acrylic) and make sure everything is rinsed twice so that all of the detergent is out of the clothing, the detergent can irritate the skin.

As far as food, try to give only bland foods...spices can aggravate sensitive skin. After feeding, clean the baby' s face with a wet paper towel and put on a light coating of Vaseline to protect the skin.

If all else fails, you can use a tiny bit of hydrocortizone cream once or twice a day until it clears, but take the above precautions even if it does clear because it can come back.
