Hi! I am due on 15th Dec...my first one was a C_section 6 years ago due to Pregnancy nduced Hypertension. I never even went into labor.
Tis time my doc is recommending VBAC..if labor happens spontaneously by 39th week and a sceduled C in the 40th week if it doesn't.I also have Gesttional Diabetes..my sugars are well controlled with insulin. I ahve not gained too much weight and all else is fine.
I am in 2 minds with this decision and need help.
Can anyone please help..Archie, what do u think??
I am kind of scared about VBAC...I need to decide soon!

you should give a try for VBAC regardless if it's in 39th or 40th week or on the day of EDD. The trick is try to stay out of Pitocin and Epidural.

What exactly does VBAC stand for ? My condition is quite similar to yours. This is my first pregnancy. I was detected with GD in the 7th month. Therafter ive been taking insulin. The last report showed sugars well in control. Im on a good diet and walk everyday for about 45 mins. Im in the 35th week and had my US today. My gynac says that my baby has grown a lot. Baby weight in the 35th week is about 3.2 kg(close to 7 pounds). He has said that he will wait till 37th week. Otherwise he will induce labour. Current symptoms do not show that labour will begin soon as there is adequate fluid and even baby has not engaged. Baby is in head down position. But my gynac is really concerned about the weight. I have put on 9 kgs since pregnancy. But it doesnt show at all on my body. Its all going to the baby!!

How much weight have you put on ? How much does your baby weigh?
