Hi hetal and others

I have a daughter who is 11 months. We came from india last month. Since we needed to have a peadritian for the child , so we registered with a doctor to her regular checkup. The doctor told to give her 4 vacinnation. This was new to us since in india we gave 1 vaccine a month and she was ok with the fever after vacinne. After the vaccination, the next day she has caught very high fever (102 deg). Doctor advised to Tylenol for infants. Next day she was ok but later at night she crying hysterically and after checking in emergency we found she has got a severe throut infection and cold. She had been given an
antibiotic --> amoxicillin and
fever --> Tylenol, motrin.

Now she is been sick for 2 days since we went to emergeny,she is refusing to eat anything , even milk and she is crying all the time. doctor has told to be patient but we are really worried what to do.

What diet plan should we follow?. What extra steps should we follow to make sure she recovers fast.

Please reply , my daughter is in really bad state. My wife is very down, i am somehow pulling things.

My heart goes out to you and your family. There' s nothing worse than when your child is very sick...believe me, I know.

Your daughter doesn' t want to eat most likely because of her sore throat. I would suggest trying to give her :

milkshakes (bananas, vanilla ice cream-thick, and vitamin D milk)

puddings

home made custards (this is especially good because egg is often used, and this would give her some protein)

popsicles, to hydrate her

soups or daal, since they' re soft, but serve them warm, not hot

I hope this helps.....I' ve had experience with this kind of situation with my son who suffered side effects from chemo, that are similar to what your daughter is going throuh. I have experience with that as well as dealing with sicknesses of normal children. I am a mother of a 4,3, and 1 year old. Feel free to ask me anything.

Nikki neetu4953 replied. i can' t help you much about your problem but i can tell you onething that hetal doesn' t reply on sites now due to health and family issues. it has been almost 4months, she has stopped replying.

on email too she has been very slow but most of the times, weekends is the best time to get her replies, that is what i observed.
