Due Date Club December 2005:Hi all --Swing or Bouncer?

Hi all,
I need advice on swing or bouncer which is better ? I want to use it for long time and confused what to purchase .
I feel Bouncers give more back support for the infants than swings because swings are like in sitting position and felt like big for the infants.
Swings on the other hand can rock the baby to sleep where as bouncers are for vibration or we can do it by hand.
So I'm totally confused what to select and I need your help to decide.

HI dear
howz ur health today.I didnt see ur update fr sme days now.
sushmitha i dnt kn which one is better.
but fr my 2nd kid i had used a jhula (i think swing)traditional thng borrowed frm a gujarathi it had 2 rods at the end and a cloth in the centre.didnt ve a support fr the back.
find out and use whichever is the best fr the baby.
but dont ever put them to sleep in them the rocking swinging they get so used to it they refuse to sleep otherwise.
to the extent i had to carry it everywhere if i am going out or my baby wont sleep.
Ideally they should just feed and go off to sleep.(thats what i followed fr my 1st one he had a swing but didnt sleep in it)

Hi Sushmita,
I saw some swings at babys'rus in which you could adjust the inclination. You could recline it more or less like in a stroller. & also i think some swings have the vibration option. I too need to decide what to buy..WIll let you know if i learn more abt this.
Take care

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
