Due Date Club December 2005:Appt update at 35 weeks...lots of Questions

Hi Girls,

An update after a long long time from me...though I had been reading the messages regarding the updates from all..

I had been to see the gynae yesterday. Everything turned out to be okay except that I have put on about 18-20 kg from my pre pregnancy weight:-( She asked me to go for regular walks now..as much as I can and not to over exert. I have my next appt on 16th november. She asked me to get the haemoglobin and random blood sugar tests to be done again before I go to see her. Also I have to get another ultrasound scan to be done.

Has anyone else also been asked to go for the scan/blood tests again? I am in bangalore, india.

Another query, when is the baby supposed to get in head down position. Today also she felt the baby's heartbeat somewhere above the pelvis region on my left side. I am not sure if the baby has descended or got in position. This is my first pregnancy.

I am feeling a lot of movement. But am not able to make out any parts of baby as such. Is it possible now that I am in week 36? Everytbody said that you can see a bulge here which is the head and a elbow poking out etc etc. I cannot make out any such thing. What are the signs that I can use to identify the parts.

I have got a bad cold. One moment I feel cold and another moment I am sweating like anything. I dont know if both are related. Is anyone else also feeling same. Last night I as almost drenched in sweat.

I am just praying to god to let the last few weeks pass off without any major trouble/hiccups. He has been merciful till now and I hope he continues to favour and help sail through the next few weeks.

Best regards,
Deepti.

Hi Dipti,

My wife was also asked to get her blood checked again. She asked us to get it done with a urine test as the tests which we has done was in the start of the second trim. Tests at this stage is very normal. The doc did the same to my wife too.She felt the baby's heartbeat somewhere above the pelvis region on her left side. She said that the baby totally changes position only in the end of 36 weeks generally. My wife also has cold and I asked the doc about it and she said its ok as long as she does not get fever. My wife so is talking all home remedies for cold and is much better today(eating half a onion every meal, munching garlic)

Regards
Stan

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
