Have you girls figured out a comfortable sleeping position for yourself.. I cant seem to find one, I start off sleeping on my left for an hour or so and for the rest of the night I keep tossing and turning and end up staring at the ceiling and feeling jealous that hubby is happily sleeping away....
I wake up in the morning with a backache and a bad mood...

Simmi replied. Hi Avi. Like you and others even I haven't had a good night sleep for ages. With this groin pain even having pillow between legs dont' help much. I had such a rush day today, with going to work, rushing for blood test and doc appointment in the afternoon and then I came home and after juggling between pillows for an hr, got an hr's sleep and now my back hurts badly and can't go to bed...so thought would chat with you guys.
Doc said chiropractor may or may not help so best to see the pysio on monday and see if they can do something or offer hydrotherapy, so let's see what happens!
Doc thinks baby will come in his or her own time since i am still high up. Baby's head is down but changed the side, last time back was on the left side of the tummy and today when we were trying to check the heartbeat, baby has moved to the right. So doc thinks baby may take time to engage the head. Hope for the best.
Checked about the tightning of the tummy and she confirmed that i was feeling BH Contractions only.
Let's try and have some sleep before we get busy with babes.
Good night.

Priya replied. Every morning I get up all cramped in the legs and dark circles! I sleep, on an average once every 4-5 days, probably because my body simply crashes after that !

Nithya replied. Hi Avi,
I can understand your situation. I have problem sleeping on sides too.
The most comfortable sleeping position for me is on my back even now but I do try to sleep on my sides though it is very uncomfortable. I also keep a pillow between my legs, it helps.
Another one month for you or even less, you can go back to your favourite sleeping position. :)
Take care,
Nithya
Tina replied. Hi Avi
I can fully sympathise with you. It is difficult for me to sleep too. I do put a pillow between my legs that helps still I do have to turn sides every 1-2 hrs, but thats better than before. Plus get up to go to bathroom every few hours. So its goodbye to an uninterrupted night's sleep. But with the pillow it is better I get a couple of hrs at a stretch. Plus if I get a back rub from my hubby before sleeping it definately helps me sleep better. Fortunately he is a light sleeper so if I am having a rough night he tends to wake once at least so I can get him to make me go to sleep or just snuggle up. Still I guess its goodbye to restful sleep for a while now. As it will continue when our darlings come.
take care
Vindhya replied. Avi,
Is there something like comfortable sleeping positions for us. I 've always been a tummy sleeper, so it's getting hard for me to sleep on my sides. So, what I do is sleep half on my tummy and half on my side. It sure helps and ofcourse I use a pillow for support. I don't think I would recommend this position as I feel it restricts the tummy to grow.
You just have four weeks to go, try to sleep on your side, use lot of pillows for support. Once you deliver, sleeping on your back will be a bliss.

Arshiya replied. Hey,
I am in the exact same position. For me, I can't sleep on the sides at all. So, I sleep on my back all the time and after a while my back starts hurting. Thatswhen I sit on the bed and keep staring at walls and ceiling.
Just like you avi, I also keep staring at my husband that how peacefully he can sleep:(
I was telling him this and he is like why don't you wake me up when you are awake so we can chat:)). Ya allright:)) it doesn't seem practical for him when he has to go to work the next day:) But, I know it's sweet of him to say that.

Hi Avi. Thx so much for the comforting words. I am eagerly waiting for my appointment on Monday and hoping they offer some treatment and that it helps. I did manage to get some sleep but my back hurts badly...hoping for a massage from hubby, let's see if I get one over the weekend.
I have my next doc appointment on 20th. Doc said that if the pain doesn't settle down then I should arrange appointments every week after that. But driving from work to these appointments is exhausting. however, has to be done. Anyways, when is your next appointment? Any more scans for you?
Was funny to know that babies bum was against the ribs, so the discomfort there. Doc was joking that i want to push the baby down from there! :-)
Have a great weekend.

Hey Sweetie, I am sure it must be harder on you since you have to go to work every morning.. So sorry...
Too bad your doc didn't recommend the chiropractor.. but hopefully you will get some help with the physical therapist next week.. it sure is weird that you cant get an appointment for hydrotherapy, i would think that they would leave some times open for people with immediate needs...hope it works out for you on Monday..
I read that the baby's head might not be engaged until the 38th week of pregnancy.. so yeah, it's upto the little ones'.. lets see what they decide to do.. but hopefully by the 37th week, they will be where they are supposed to be...
Try and Get some rest and some sleep.. you need it after having such a busy and stressful day..
Love
-Avi

So sorry Priya, and with having to go to work everyday it must be really really bad for you...
not too long and then although sleep deprivation will continue, you will atleast get rid of the pains and get to be home for a while and rest...
Hang in there..

Tina, I thought I was the only one.. so I feel a bit relieved now....
yeah, I sleep with a pillow between my legs too cause if i dont it hurts when I try and move my legs after sleeping for a while...
so nice of your hubby to wake up and make you comfy..cute indeed..
I guess this will be good practice for when the baby is out and needs us to be up every few hours..you are right, we are better off saying goodbye to a whole nights sleep for a while... :)

Vindhya, I've been a on-the-tummy kind too from the time I remember but the paranoid me cant dare to do it anymore..
My doc said that sleeping on your tummy doesn't harm the baby in anyway..she said, any postion you are comfortable in is ok..so you dont have to worry about the position restricting tummy growth :)
I cant wait to get back on my tummy and on my back.......

so cute of him to say that...
When I complain about it to my hubby, he either pretends not to hear what I am saying or tells me to get some power naps in the afternoon now that I am at home 24/7.. but not a word about me waking him up.. :)

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
