Does any body have less thyroid. My doctor told me u have little less thyroid hormon. she is setting appointment with specialist. Does any body have same problem?

Hi Maitrali,

I don't think you should worry much. Because as far as I know the fetus will be affected if your thyroid condition is untreated. But in your case you started the treatment early on(9th week). So don't worry, everything will be fine. By the way what is the dosage of your synthroid medication?? I'm taking 0.05 mg. Take care - Alpana.

Dear Maitrali,

I have the less thyroid problem even before I got pregnant. I think it's also know as 'Hypothyroidism'. There is nothing to worry about. The doctor will check the readings of your TSH & T3, T4 blood tests. And very likely if the readings are little high he will prescribe you the thyroid medicine - synthroid. I hope this info. will help you a little.

Thanks Alpana for the reply. I have started synthorid since I was 9 week pregnent. but I am worried Did I start late for the drug. Because I gone through most of the sites they says it affects baby's brain.
