play school in koramangala - Nurseries and Schools Discussion Forum

hello every one ,
first time I am writinf in this.we are coming to bangalore in aug. and my baby is 2 year 6 month we will be staying in koramangala ,can any one tell me which are the play schools in koramangala.I have heard about head start but I think there you need to apply when you kid is 1 year 6 month ,waiting for the reply .

the eligibility for nursery is 2yrs 10 months in june. so i' m afraid that your daughter will not be eligible for nursery this year. this is because in karnataka there is a rule that the child has to be 5 yrs 10 months to be accepted to 1st std. so most preschools work backwards. some schools may consider two months this side or that. another suggestion is, why dont you visit Podar Jumbo Kids in Koramangala. All the best and let us know what you decide.

As for parents having a bad experience at Kara, I think this may be a typo, referring instead to Kiara? I have not received any negative feedback and am surprised to read this. I will be more than happy to introduce you to our parent body to enable you to make up your own mind regarding the bona fides of the school.

Dear Swetha,

As the history and details of parents and children at Kara are kept highly confidential, it is difficult for me to pass comment in these pages.

Kara has been operational since April 2006 and as of today's date the management has only received considerable praise and acknowledgement from parents for its programmes, curriculum and environment. In addition to this, Kara has received international acclaim from three independent pre-primary agencies from the US who visited to evaluate the school, its facilities, content and training.

It is difficult to see how parents can be unhappy with Kara as no child has yet completed the programme. And as far as I'm aware, since inception no child has left us mid-year for any reason other than parents being transferred or he/she moving onto primary education at TISB, Indus or Canadian School, whose programmes all start in Aug/September.

Kara operates on a philosophy of transparency and parents are welcome to join us in the school at anytime, to observe classes and openly interact with management, teachers and parents. I therefore extend a personal invitation to you to come and experience/evaluate Kara for yourself.

At the end of the day there are many pre-school and childcare facilities in Bangalore. Unlike 10 years ago, parents are now spoilt for choice. This is good for the industry as competition will continue to raise standards.
