Well girls, thought I should share this info with you all. I was feeling decrease in baby's movements for a while and though I was getting anxious about it I did not want to run to emergency but one of my friends here in USA who just delivered a baby boy, told me about this web site( fetalbond dot come) and I was preety impressed with it and ordered a heart beat monitor on rent, which I got yesterday.
I had a regular check up yesterday with my OBGYN and since I was hungry during the two hour wait at his office( he was off to the hospital, emergency) I was not able to feel the baby move even after I came back home. Needless to say I used fetalbond and I was able to see the heartrate of my baby. I am not sure if this is available for you guys in India/Dubai/Abu dhabi but just wanted to share this info.
Also wanted to give you this web site which was suggested by my lamaze instructor( lamaze dot com)seems like a good site. By the way I have my second class today will talk about it when I post next.I saw the cassettes she gave and they were interesting, they talked basically about breast feeding,putting the baby to sleep,crying and fussy babies etc.

Visited my doc yesterday-- she told me 2nd time moms are too laidback as i was visiting her afer 7 weeks.She has now increased the freuqency of my visits to her.
Am in my 30th week now and baby's head is down.
NOW I am getting scared.........it feels so real and impending.
Otherwise am doing fine and baby too.

Your concerns are understandable.. ..Even I expereince these erratic baby movements..Some days , baby will be very active and on some when i dont feel many movements...I start panicking.

But yesterday at my 1 st Lamaze class, I got this doubt clarified Padmaja. Our instructor is a Brirish Mid wife. And she said that so long as you feel More than 10 Movements in a 10 hour time span -- there is no cause of concern.

But your idea of a foetal monitor seems interesting Padmaja...I'm sure it must be such a releif just to hear the heart beat !! Dont know if we can hire it here in ABu Dhabi though !!
