Due Date Club October 2001:Hello Jyotsna

Those are really good tips. I will tell my mom to bring open gowns, nappies and jabalas as its difficult to get those things here. We get open short gowns here but i guess i still ask her to bring from india too. I am going to have winter baby but even if i deliver any other time we may not go out often with new born baby atleast one and half months. So we being at home its good to use nappies for the first few weeks. My mom told me she will bring some ayurvedic oil. I am not sure what that is but i guess that may be for baby's massage. Do write if you remember anything else.

Girls, I do have night dreams and nowadays its always about babies. Its funny that i can't remember or see their faces. Its just their legs/hands playing and smiling at me. One day i saw one baby was missing and we were all searching here and there and we couldn't find it..isn't that weird?.

Take care you all girls and keep in touch.

Hi mekha,
i do recollect one thing. My friend from the US had sent me some great stuff for my 1st born--Gerber products. The reason why i say great is that their little clothes/undervests etc lasted me a very long time.Check it out.
As our babies are so tightly wound up in the womb, they like to be wrapped up comfortably and snugly when they are out. When my daughter was born,my husband and i were taught how to wrap up a newborn as one gets real scared to handle them--looking so fragile etc.
My basic essentials for ananya's wardrobe was plastic sheets/square sheets in a small size mad eout of old bedsheets or dupattas, some small soft towels and the usual jabalas. All the clothes were tied up with strings rather than any buttons as it facilitates easy wear and doesnt harm their delicate skin.
The only thing which hassled me then was my hair started falling a lot compared to while i was pregnant so thats why i mentioned a good hair oil for you.
After the baby is born,in the 40 days, the new mom finds it tough to take care of her own personal needs. All i would do was to feed on demand, sleep when she slept and eat and eat.Try and make out time for yourself, have a massage etc and feel good with yourself.
take care n stay connected
