Hi everyone,,

Just wanted to know if any of u crave for coffee....

I haven'nt been a coffee lover prior to pregnancy , but now I find that I need at least a cup a day......And i have these debates within myself of whether to have or not to have !!!

So--is a cup a day harmless? or should I give it up completely????

All ur tips n suggestions welcome friends,
cheers

Yup, heaviness is common especially during the final trimester since your baby will be pushing your diapharagm. The only solution is have several small meals and improve your digestion. Have more fluids and fiber in your diet.

Coffee is not advisable but one cup a day should be okay, if you can't avoid it completely probably you should try herbal tea or something of that sort.

Take care and stay connected !

nivea-hi again,
heaviness is due to gas usually and this is pretty common in the later stages. My daughter has named me Ms--Burpy as i am always burping.
One good remedy is having a bottle of plain soda--just have it in one shot or half of it atleast and there is some relief.
Ive also reached some compromise with my eating habits.I find myself feeling hungry between 10 and 4..so i eat well then, lunch etc and at 5.5.30 instead of tea i have soup.
I dont feel too hungry but force myself to eat a roti/rolled in with some vegetable and some salad or curds and then a banana.
P.s in the soup, add some oats or dalia as a thickener instead of cornflour and this means added fibre and bye bye to constipation.
take care

hi nivea,
one cup a day sounds allright..is it instant.
U know something,i too feel like having atleast a cup a day with more milk than water and i know why..for me its like an instant pick me up.I feel a little more alive especially mid-morning.
i did check with my doc --she said one cup is fine but to have more milk in the form of milkshakes.
Ive also developed a great fondness of anything lemony........my fridge is filled with lemons--laugh!!!
take care

Hi Jyotsna,

Your answer provided some relief......So i can go about my morning cuppa without any guilt !!

And tell u what--just to feel better, I've switched to DECAF....

Say jyotsna,,,since the past few days --towards the evenings, prior to dinner;I have this feeling of being extremely full and feel heavy ! and its like I 'm so stuffed that I cant even think of having dinner !! And this is inspite of having tea and some light snacks at say 6 in teh evening

Any idea--why I feel this awful heaviness? Any suggestions to control this?

U take care and keep writing too
Nivea
