Due Date Club December 2005:Adv USG... update

Hi Archie and All,
Earlier my Gync had mentioned that she will be doing the Doppler USG but in my last appoinment she mentioned as Adv USG... Hence today I had my Adv USG.
As per it...
1)The Placenta is in Anterior position(ascended up) and Grade is III.

2)As per the LMP my EDD is 03/12/2005 and I am in 35th Week. But as per the AGA I am in 33Wks and EDD is 17/12/05.

3)BPD, HDC, FL, AC are 8.28cm, 31cm, 6.63cm, 25.9cm(i doubt on this figure as it is not written clearly) respectively.

4)The foetal Wt. app. 1902grms.

Gync said that the weight of the baby is on lesser side, and other readings are normal. Archie, can you give me the idea as to when I should be expecting the baby... Gync has said to reduce the intake of rice, but without having rice at dinner I don't feel my stomach full and if I eat Chappati or roti at dinner then i will have indigestion the next day. I only have rice for dinner, for afternoon lunch I have chappati's hence I don't feel like to touch them in the evening. For morning breakfast I sometime have Poha or Upama and sometime idili or Dosa. I am in fix as to how I can control my weight and increase the weight of the baby. If possible can someone give me the diet plan.....
Also my right leg knee has started paining very badly for last 3days. I am not atall able to walk properly or sit. I cannot fold for my legs even for a minute.
One more problem which I am facing is, I am not able to sleep towards my left. As soon as I turn to left then my little one will start moving as if it is getting pressed by the pillow. If I don't keep the pillow under my tummy then i feel that my tumming is hanging. And as soon as I turn towards right(pillow below my tummy), it will move for sometime as if settling down and then there is no movement.

Thats all for now..... will try to be online soon..

Ammy,
believe it or not but you are eating only rice, so that be breakfast or dinner, of course with exception of some chpatis.
Try to eat vegetable, chapati and whole grain stuff. Avoid rice, regardless how close you may feel to rice dishes.

your baby at 33 weeks is good with weight I don't see it as a low weight at all. Go by ultrasound date and not by privious date.

anterior placenta is Ok you will wait and see what's in store while you are in labor.

hi ammy,

Hi about ur due date what date does ur last sonar report give i think u should go with it. cos for my first pregnancy my edd was 07th march as per LMP but the sonar said 19th march and i delivered on the 20th. the about intake of rice then i think eating rice once a day is ok. but as u said poha, idli ,dosa are all rice items. so may be u can avoid that if u are taking rice at night. abt the baby's weight i think baby is fine. cos my gync said the baby will grow fat rapidly these last few weeks so nothing worry. just avoid fatty food and include lotsa salad and greens/vegetables in ur diet as they are very healthy for both u and the baby. U wont put on weight with vegetables. My neighbour keeps telling me to have lotsa ghee for an easy delivery .but i know thats fatty and not healthy and the fact that it will be an easy delivery if i have ghee i dont agree to it.

Knee pain is there for me too yar. i cant get out of the bed in the mornings its too painfull. i limp. i think its part of pregnancy.

i too suffer from right knee pain and back ache.

anyway u take care of urslef and have lotsa rest before delivery and get charged for the arrival of the baby.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
