Dear Archie,
This is in continuation to our discussion on the rash. I will get my blood reports this afternoon. I would like some info on this, if you don't mind. You had said that, in your case, the rash went after 3 weeks. How did it go? Meaning, did it disappear like that gradually or did the rash heal just like any other wound.
Because for me, the places where I had got the rash first, are turning black like any other wound heals. Although I am getting rash in newer places. This is for my consolation. Thank you and sorry to be bothering you on this issue again and again.

Dear Mom to be,
Yes, the rash disappeared like any wound, although mine was typical rash and not a wound.
When I scratch it would get red and slowly in a day or two get black. Initially I suspected allergy as I had Drumstick in curry. Later as it did not disappear in a week went ahead speaking my Dr. with a hormones possibility. We both agreed on not using any lotions and continue cleaning area with water and regular soap. Which I did for two weeks and choose to see her as it did not subside, only temporary relief while after cleaning. Nights to severe and this is where she wondered if I am a victim of some infection and not hormonal. As I was in the second trimester I had to bear or treat no option. She seen me and confirmed not suffering from any infection (visual analysis not based on any tests). She referred me to a Dermatologist. I took number and decided to wait for few more days before I meet dermatologist. I wanted to give my trial. It was Wednesady when I got Dermatologist number from my OB/GYN. I waited for two more days and realized that by Friday my itchiness was subsided and I could sleep night through. I had however plans to see Dermatologist on coming Tuesday but by the weekend my itchiness was fully stopped and I was back to normal, although those black tiny scars were there due to scratching. The black scars later disappeared in 2 weeks. I did not see Dermatologist, I cancelled my appointment ahead of time.

I hope the detailed information will help you making your choice.

I however do not see any seriousness in your case, looks like you will be fine in a few weeks. It also does not look like Colastasis to me, I am curious to see what blood reports have to in them, keep me informed.

Archie

Thanks Archie,
The doc's office just called me. The nurse informed that my blood reports are normal. Nothing on the lines of cholastasis. However, the doctor wants to take a look at my rash. Earlier, it was the midwife who saw the rash and took blood sample. Tomorrow afternoon I am meeting the doc. I hope the rash subsides. The rash in my stomach was the first to appear. It is slowly turning black now. The rash that appeared later in hands and breasts are reddish and itching a lot now. I apply yogurt and then take a cold shower. At night, I apply aveeno - otherwise the whole night I will have to sit and scratch. Aveeno does give a lot of relief. I shall keep you informed on the developments. I am really thankful to you, seeing your reply gives me a lot of relief.
Thanks once again.
