I'm due on 26th Nov and just started my 18th week.
I think weight gain is very normal from 2nd trimester onwards and i don't think trying to lose weight now is a very good idea, 'cos that will keep ur baby from recieving essential nutrients, u can cut down on fatty items, but don't make any drastic changes to ur diet. U can always get ur desired weight later after delivery and believe me it won't be difficult once ur baby starts to make u run and stay awake at nights :))
I also get feet ache and don't know what to do about it. I have started wearing flat shoes but eventhough whenever i walk, even a little, they pain like anything.I try foot massage and that helps to some extent...well i guess just have to live with it for the time being.

I'm in my 21st week. I started feeling movement only at the end of 19th week. People feel movements anywhere between 18 - 22 week. So don't worry about it.

I think it is best to talk to the doctor about the weight gain. In the meanwhile, avoid junk food. Eat healthy, even if frequently. Lots of water. Exercise everyday, like a brisk walk for 30mts.
