Hi Natasha,

I am from september board. I am doing job which involves sitting for about 8-9 hours daily. I am experirncing the same kind of probem- swelling in legs. I talked to doctor about this and she suggested blood and urine test. Though the reports are normal she advised me the following:
1. Take rest whenever possible. Dont do any households after reaching home.. just have rest.
2. keep your feet up on to a stool while sitting in office. (I asked to office boy to keep one empty box under my table, you can also do the same)
3. Take less salt
4. put one pillow under your leg while sleeping.
5. Drink lots of fluids.
6. Ask your husband to massage your feet with oil.

Take care

Somya

totally agree with Sowmya..they are all great tips..if your job involves sitting for most part of the day, try taking 3-5 mins break every 30 mins or an hour and walk down the hallway in office just to keep the circulation going..everynight, i wash my legs and put some lotion and do a massage before going to bed..it really helps..i am not having any swellings thankfully but it does hurt a lot..from past few months i have totally avoided pickles and using less salt in food as a precaution..may be u shud start doing that..
will post if i remember anything else..take care..and most of all, calm down and relax as much as u can (i am advising, but i am too stressed most of the time..LOL)..
