Due Date Club October 2003:baby name decision..and baby tub product..

Name: Radhika

Hi everybody..
last time i asked to choose between vidya and aditi everyone helped me out with ur opinions..heard of a new name and not able to get it out of my head...so asking again , between vidya, aditi and anushka which name in ur opinion is preferred? i am getting all different meanings for anushka from passionate, to meaning anush - means younger in sanskrit so anushka as the younger one, to it being a russian origin name which means endearing..so meanings not helping me because it varies, love the name we can all her anu at home and anushka as full name..what do u guys think is a cute name from the 3?

secondly was looking at the bath tubs and supports avl for bathing of baby? any suggestions which is safe..since its apossibilty i may be doing bathing myself, my friend says u should not be bending down in the bathtub so get a small tub it takes little to wash a small baby , if anyone has known any product that helps a infant especially when the head is not stable initially do let me know.
Thanks a lot.
Radhika

Hi Radhika,

Anushka is a beautiful name, another way that it is spelt is Anoushka, which sound beautiful too. Go for it!!
This is what I have done for baby bathtubs. I bought a sit-up bath tub for the baby from Safety 1st(got it at Babies R Us), but we want to remember for the first three weeks or so we wont be giving the baby real baths. What we will be doing is giving the baby a wipe-down with a wash cloth. For that you get at teddy bear shaped sponge which you can lay down on your bathroom counter and just place the baby on that and wipe the baby. You get this also at Babies R Us in the same aisle as the bathtubs etc.
You will need to dry it well before re-use since it is made of sponge.

Take Care
Suni

Hey Radhika, just wanted to say I love Anushka (it is also the name of one of my cousins)..it sounds very exotic and I always liked Annika too, it sounds Indian and will be easy for the people around here to pronounce (ala annika sorenson :) ) but Anushka deserves a two thumbs up

Hi Radhika

Among ur new list i would prefer Anushka as this name is in my list also. I also like this name alot and u can always call her Anu at home.

Regarding bath tub i have no idea till now as i haven't started shopping yet. But my friends told me to buy Toddeler tub with infant attachment which u can use later on also when baby grows. Babies r us have plenty of them. This weekend we will do the shopping.
Goood luck
Have a nice long weekend
