Dear Archie and all,Iam due on dec 4th but iam going for a planned c sec on nov 30th.My first child was born in India by emergency c sec by general anasthesia but no blood or blood products were given to me.Right now iam in canada where they ask for consent for blood transfusion if there is a heavy blood loss.Under normal circumstances how much blood loss will be there ?Is blood transfusion required?Iam really scared.The doctor advises me of going for spinal anasteshia.which one is better iam really confused and worried.Archie can u pl help me in this regard.The doctor says if dont give consent for blood transfusion she wont do my delivery .How is local anasthesia better than general?I had only 2 ultrasounds one at 9th week and the other one at 18 weeks and she says no more u/s .Is that how the system works?what is a swab test.pl helpme

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine.
