my kid is 3 yrs old now and i want her to go to school which gives equal imp. to extra curricular activities also. can anyone suggest the exact difference between cbse and icse? which is better. i want my kid to be active and not only posses bookish knowledge. can anyone help me. i am from pune and want to know which schools are better upto 10th standara atleats. also pros and cons of co-ed and single sex schools. which one is better and gives kids better prespective of world. thanks

Hi,
Even my son is 3.5 yr old. I also do not know much about, bu tI have visited few cbse schools in my area & was surprice with there way of teaching, surrounding, dec.etc. I have also met few perents who have put there kids from state board schools to CBSE schools. They are very happy. For eg. 8std. student from state bd schools hardly was maneging to get pass & after changing the school State to CBSE he got 79%. Belive me I have met that family & they are very happy with school. They have shown me both the marksheets of Stateboard & CBSE. Even his writting has changed. If you can economicaly afford go for CBSE school. Personel opn. If you could get ICSE boards affiliated schools list can you pls fwd me. I have put this question today as new topic. date .04.10.06
