Hi ,

I am around 15 week preganent.I am in US. I am having cough since last 1 month , i have taken lots of antibiotics suggested by doctor but no effect. If anybody has any remedy for the same please help . I am also worried as constant coughing will have bad effect on baby ?
I would also like to be in contact with anyone who is in US and has March 08 as due date so that we can discuss things as here it' s sometimes difficult to believe in doctor for me as it seems if i would have been in India this problem would have been gone as we have lots of good and trustworthy doctors there.

I' m from feb board. I live in US. Which place are you in US? Why did your doctor give antibiotics for coughing? Did u get strepthroat? What was it?

I sometimes get mild cough(talking abt normal time) because of body heat. I try drinking grape juice(at room temperature). Take yogurt regularly everyday. See if it helps. Put haldi and pepper powder in warm milk and drink. Try one at a time.

These days my body feels so hot so this came to my mind for your cough. If these things doesn' t effect in 3 days each, get a second opinion from another doc.

I live in US too. I live in NJ and I personally didn' t go through this but my colleague said when she was pregnant with her second she got cough from her first kid and it became strep throat and she was on antibiotic for a very long time. I know how you feel so try doing some home remedies like applying Vicks on your throat and take vapor, don' t drink cold milk, not sure what else we can do during pregnancy. If I get to know any I' ll def let you know. Take care.
