hi all,

One more query , I am in my 15th Week and i am taking Prenatal vitamin i.e. multivitamin tablet every day.
We asked to our Obgyn about calcium,iron tablets but she said no need , as in India i think everybody takes those calcium and iron tablets i am confused as here in US i asked for it many times but no response from doctor.
I am confused and worried also that i am not getting proper calcium for my baby ,,,
What to do ? or should i get the tablets from India and take it without telling doctor ?

Prenatal contains everything calcium, iron.It is a costly vitamin tablet.I am taking prenatal tablet only.I am currently 31 weeks , i am not having any complaints.Include lots of milk, yogurt & folate such as orange juice , beetroot ,dates,raisins food.U must take calcium & iron rich food.Never take any diary products for 2 hours , as it hinders absorption of iron in prenatal vitamin pills.I hope this helps u.Never take any medicine without doctors advice. Smita replied. Prenatal ...itself is sufficient ..If you are taking that then Iron calcium is not reqd.
I am not taking prenatal as it makes me feel nauseated ...I am taking Iron and calcium seperately ...the day i will be able to start prenatal i will stop these two.
