I have been married for 5 years and have 2 beautiful kids. We have a normal marriage with ups and downs but nothing serious.

Just one thing bugs me, my husband likes to emphasise each time we have an arguement that I don't bring in any income. I have been a stay at home mum for 5 years because of having children but I intend to go back to college next year for a refresher course and start work soon after that.

How do I put it to him that his statement about this is very hurtful and even though I do not bring in an income I have taken care of my children that no day care in this world could have, run all the household activities single handedly?

As lovely as it has been staying at home to look after my kids, never again would I do it. Every woman needs to bring an income these days for recognition and say in life - housewives and stay at home mums aren't respected at all and this hurts very much! ani replied. hi sanya,
men r like that. they feel like they r super natural beings. they dont realise how much work v do daily.its really tough to manage kids, home and also other work. if u r ready to work, better take steps for that and there are many options to work from home. try whichever is suitable for u. but before that make ur husband know how tough it is to manage kids and home if u go for a job. one way of making him know about that is ask him to take care of kids in a weekend. iam sure he cant manage.he'll realise his mistake of hurting u. that moment he'll think like, its better u do all the household work and not let him do anything else other than the routine what hez doing now. its my personal experience. but if there is some financial problem like, its better to go for a job thinking that u r doing for the sake of ur kids. soon u'll get a solution. take care. all the best.
