Hi
As you said, I called the doctor when the rash got worse. She took a blood sample and the results will be there in a couple of days. I am worried. If it is PUPP, will it be there till the end of my pregnancy? Or if it is bile contamination, will it be there till delivery or can it be treated? Is there any medication for any of these? Temporarily, my doc has asked me to use Aveeno (steroid free) anti-itch cream. I am in my 24th week and I have 16 more weeks to go. I am really worried if this will stay till then. I would like to have ur opinion.

Dear Mom to be,
I am sorry for your discomfort. It's hormonal and you will get this confirmation with blood report.

One can not certainly assure as to will this continue to the term or subside in days ahead. In my case it went off by itself in 3 weeks. It started almost your gestation stage.

Even if it turns out to be bile contamination, it has not bad impact on fetus or you as such. It sure is not comforting for mother to be but the contaminationis mainly due to relaxed hormone on your body parts/tissue.

Aveeno is a good choice and you should continue with it, however try to not rely much on medication. I did not treat at all. I took it although sometime I spent sleepless nights.

You can clean your area with water and regular soap containing glycerin in it.

I know you have a long way to go and you can be worried but you can get surprised in a few days to weeks that condition is disappeared.

I was all set to see Dermatologist, suggested by my OB/GYN, yet wanted to give a few days before I see dermatologist as I did not wanted to get treated. And miracle when I fixed an appointment and was due in two days to see this Dr, but my itching disappeared by itself.

Try to use Johnsson baby lotion on this area, of course get green for this from your Dr. sometime dryness adds to all.

I hope you will feel better soon.

Otherwise also don't get stressed this will cause it to get worse than sorting the trouble.
