Hi Archie,
From yesterday evening, I am having rash like on my belly. It looks like lot of mosquito bites. This is present only on my belly, nowhere else. And it is very very itching. Is it normal during pregnancy or should I call the doctor? I thought I will get your opinion before I call the doc.

Hi.. I also had rash all over my body. You can use anti-itch cream, to prevent scraching and My Dr. put me on Banadrille (miss spell). Then the rash went away in 2-3 days.

take care,
roshi

Dear mom to be,
It's OK to feel itchy on belly. It may be hormonal or something that you ate lately (slight allergic reaction and will be fine by itself).

If the itching persis need to evaluate your blood for bile contamination. It can happen in some cases that bile gets mixed in blood and cause itching, condition named cholastasis. Nothing to worry it's again hormonal.

However calling your Dr. and getting viewed is a good option. Try not to use any ointment or cream, clean with water and regular soap.

Looks all is going to be fine a few days or two weeks.

Archie

Hi
As you said, I called the doctor when the rash got worse. She took a blood sample and the results will be there in a couple of days. I am worried. If it is PUPP, will it be there till the end of my pregnancy? Or if it is bile contamination, will it be there till delivery or can it be treated? Is there any medication for any of these? Temporarily, my doc has asked me to use Aveeno (steroid free) anti-itch cream. I am in my 24th week and I have 16 more weeks to go. I am really worried if this will stay till then. I would like to have ur opinion.
