hi nicky,
The foetus still needs its nutritional requirements to be fulfilled. So do not cut down or try to lose weight now. You must eat regular, healthy meals from now on, because the weight you have already gained will not help your baby' s growth at all.

Any extra weight gain is due to fat or fluid retention caused by excess salt or spicy food.  If you do happen to put on a few extra pounds, do not try dieting while you are pregnant since it could harm your baby.  You could ask your doctor for guidance and eat only highly nutritious foods.  Avoid junk food at all costs. In your post preg you can try to cut down ur weight..
