My doc was telling me that iron and calcium are critical for the baby' s devlpmnt only from the 20th week - so if u have reached that stage, u must take supplements. of course, remember, u shd never take the iron and calcium tablets together. one of them stops the absorption of the other- so if u r taking iron in night take calcium in the morning or vice versa.

Dear Anjali,
Lalitha is very right. U shud start ur supplements and make sure u don´ t have them together.
Iron and calcium are very important for the baby´ s growth.
U can also include iron and calcium rich foods in ur diet. Try to have a glass of milk and a banana every day for calcium. Spinach, dates (not more than two a day), apple, anjeer etc will help ur body with iron.
