Our mommy T and her baby T are having problems with breastfeeding. Mommy T has pretty good milk supply. She pumps regularly and can stock 4 ounces every pumping session. Her main goal is to increase her milk supply so that she can pump more milk for baby T. Baby T has decreased appetite from a current illness. He is given expressed breast milk through the bottle. Nipple confusion is present.

Mommy' s priority is to increase her milk supply so that she can increase the amount she collects while pumping. She has hesitations in bringing her baby back to the breast because baby T cries when forced to feed whether through breast, cup or bottle.

To address the concern to increase milk supply we offered a lactation massage to keep milk flowing. Increased fluid intake are recommended. And most importantly frequent breastfeeding is the most effective way to increase milk supply.

She still cannot directly breastfeed because of her hesitations and her worry when baby cries because of the nipple confusion.
