My daughter is 8 months old and is cutting her first teeth. Is there anything that I could rub on her teeth to help with the process.

My mom suggested honey or glycerene. I am not sure if honey is OK. Here in US, they say not to give raw honey for alergy reasons.

Another thing that helps is cold temperature. Put a wet washcloth in freezer for 5 min. Take it out and give it to the baby to chew while you hold it. It provides immediate relief (for the times like when you are trying to feed to baby). It really works!!!

u shld not give honey to infant below 1 year as it will cause infant bottulism.. u can give teething rings to suit the pain.

I've been told to use honey over and over, I didn't and would never use it. It can cause serious tooth decay. I have used baby obejel - comes in swabs easy to apply. Also give your baby various teething toys. There so many types of teething toys available, my favourite are the ones that have various types of texture. Best of Luck
