Name: Aparna Hello everyone,

I just came from my doc visit (monthly) and everything is good. I gained 4more pounds. He also reviewed my scanning results and said everything is good. As per scanning, my due date has moved to Feb 7th but he said, it might change again. +/- 2,3days change is always expected. Also, placenta is in right position (which I guess they look for)
I asked him about taking extra suppliments for calcium (as I couldn' t take any milk in first trimester), he said ' no need for anything. If I am really concerned, take 2,3 tums daily' should be good. Also asked to drink low fat milk instead of whole milk, hmmmm.

Kaplana, thanks for the wishes and good luck with your scanning. Are you going to find out baby' s gender? Try to eat healthy.

Hi Aparna,

Glad to hear from you again. I am happy that you are gaining pounds in the desired way(not more, not less !!). Good you told me abt placenta. My gynac didn' t mention abt that, but said everything is normal. Let me check nexttime when I visit her.

Ya ...as your doc said, try fat free milk. I was in the same boat, now lowly used to drinking fat free milk. Try coldmilk/milkshakes. some form may work for you too.

new to this board

Hi all,
i am new to this board.Firstly congratulations to all.
My name is Mamta ,and i am in my 19th week.i had a question for you aparna, i had my 18th week scan last week but the technician didnt tell me anything .she said a doctor will review it and then discuss/send the results to my OB. Havent heard from my doc yet so am kinda anxious. is this a normal procedure.

also aparna i understand you are from Nj , so am i.which hospital are you going to deliver.i will be delivering in St peters hospital.My due date is Feb 9.

i am so glad i came across this site. it feels good to be around so many to be mommies.

Hi Mamta,

Congratulations. I guess this is your first baby. Its normal procedure to send the reports to GYN. Some technicians don´ t say anything or even talk but some people do. In my case, when we asked her if everything is fine, she said yes.
Luckily my monthly apt was today (2days after scanning) and they got the reports on time. If you are curious, you can call your doc and ask them if they got the scanning reports and find out if everything is fine on phone.

I am going to deliver in JFK. I guess we have closer due dates.
