Hope you are all doing fine. As we are slowly marking halfway into pregnancy, I was thinking abt baby shopping. What is the right time to start shopping?? I was thinking to start from third trimester.
Since I stay in north east part of US, the weather gets cold in the months to come. So people around me are suggesting to start shopping, which also makes some sense. Second time moms, soughting your help....
Also it would be good idea to make the list of some bare essentials.

Its so nice to hear that u are already shopping . As for me, u knw in some parts of India,specially in our community u r not allowed to shop until the baby is born (silly superstition, but still have to follow as they tell u of all sorts of worst consequences if the same is not followed). So u people enjoy d shopping and keep telling me what have u' ll purchased.

Happy to complete first of half of the pregnancy. I am already getting quite importance from friends and relatives. People are inviting me for dinners and making all the specials. And ofcourse! as we stay in NJ, there are Indian resturants everywhere.
Coming to shopping for baby, when I was pregnant with my son: I went to India in my 5th month and did most of cloth shopping there (Indian style). Once we were back, we did shopping here in early 3rd trimester. Later in months, it will be difficult for us moms to walk for long time and also we will need to use restroon so often.
So, start shopping but slow. Don' t buy everything now. But be sure to take your h' band with you to shopping. After delivery, if you need something like diapers/formula/bottles/nipples/pacifier etc, he needs to know where he can get that. You won' t be in a position to go out :)
Later sometime, we can talk about ' essentials for baby' list. You can find this in websites or even in Baby' s r us.
I guess you will be buying neutral colors... Good luck
