iam 22 year old girl,iam studying my post graduation.iam about to visit to tirupati next week.my mother taken a vow to god that if we construct a new house me and my mother gets head shave.iam feeling too nervous to shave my head.iam very fear and shy to shave my head bending before barber and he shaves with a straight razor.when i used to see bald girls i used to laugh inner,now its time to me to shave my head,so please give me some courage to shave my head.and also share your experiences,shaving your heads in tirupati ramya replied. i dont know how to post my headshave experience in message board can anyone help me the procedure to post jiah replied. hey dt worry swapnapriya admire ur self headshaving s not bad sailu replied. good to headshave ,send me head shaving photos vijay replied. hi sister

Once you to Tirumala, you will loose all your anxiety and feel the serenity of the place. Also watching so many other girls or your age also being shaved there, you will not have much discomfort.. Am slightly against the idea of geting your head tonsured in a parlour, this defets the purpose of why people shve their head at Tirumala.. Te barbers at Tirumala re trained to ensure that all the long hair of the females in particular are tied in a knot and then shaved so that the complete hair is in two bunndles, this fetches the temple trust good money when acutioned.. for example they made some 30 cr last yeas acutioning human hair from Tirumala to some Hong Kong based Co. The idea is that even the poorest of poor can contribbute to the lord by offering his or her hair... Also shaving ones head is a sign of humblness, since hair is a symbol of pride, shaving the head means giving away to the lord what you like so much and is a symbol of pride.... I suggest you get yourself tonsured at Tirumala and is need be you can re-shhave yoor get it yourself with a female shaving razor or get it done in some barber shop / saloon etc...bye -Ram viji replied. this is viji here, dont be scared about the head shave. You know i and my daughter shave our heads once in 2 years we do it for a cause or for ourselves. If you are so scared visit a parlor or you both can do exchange your shaves which is more safe and hygenic.
