Hello,

In february we are planning a trip to India. My Daughter will be 6 months old. I have couple of question.

1. Has anybody traveled from India to US or from US to india?

2. What kinds of problem have u faced?

2. Will she have a jetlag problem?
3. What kind of seat I should book for her?
4. She is used to her bouncer, should we take that? Or do you get a bouncer in india? for how much?
5. do they have disposible diapers and formula? (I will take mine but in case if we need to)

Please let me know.

Ankita

hi ankita
i am also in the same siytuation as you are . diffference is that i will go after few months but my baby will also be of 5-6 months at that time . i am also worried for the same reasons as you are.
so please after spending your time in india , post a message about your experiences related to these concerns specially formula(Enfamil lipil )and diapres .
as far as similac is concerned, i am sure it is availbale in delhi in some famous markets as my friend has told me when she visited india . diapers for time passing are also vailable over there but not of very good quality and little bit expensive than usa .this is all the infoemation that i had ,
but i am worried for the Enfamil lipil whther it is available in india or not .
so post me all your experiences as soon as you come back from india .
have a happy journey .
bye
anjali

Hi..

I did travel with my daughter to india when she was 4 mts..and I came back alone when she was 6 mts..Travelling alone with my 6mt old kid was not easy..I wish I had company in changing hands etc.. They are usually naughty and gets cranky by the end of the flight at this age.
Before going get updated on the vaccines from the doctor..Also you need to carry the enough formulas, because you don't really want to change milk in India. I did givve her the Nestle cerelac and indian friuts and she ws fine.
She didn't get sick etc because I guess she was on breast milk too.

Regarding seat u have to book the infant carrier( which iis 10% of ur seat fare). It is good u can put ur baby down when she is sleeping. U just have to tell ur travel agent about it.

I doubt kids will have a lot of jet lag problem..I don't have ideas about bouncers, but I have seen it in India.

Diapers are best if u take from here if ur kid is always in diaper..Indian diapers are not so good to use for long time..If u use indain diaper u can use them when u go out or at night..u will have to use cloth ones if u are home.

good luck.

hey i dont have kids but i know a lot of freinds who have kids.
they all usually go to a child doctor and take some advice from them.
the doctors usually tell you what to do and some medecines for it in case of air sickness.
it is the bet you go to a doctor and take advice from them.
i am in us too.
where do u stay in us?

Can I skip Santoshi mata fast for once this Friday? As its impossible in every condition to keep the fast as i am going to a remote place where such things can't be maintained? I've done more than 16 fasts with my pure heart. Will God forgive me if I skip this fast? Please reply fast. Its very urgent.... - Avika [View Message]
