Hi everyone..this is the topic somwewhat related to the previous one(night feeds).i was just wondering what are the sleeping patterns of all the kiddos out here...like how many times a day they nap and for how long....i have read that at this age they need 15 and 1/2 hours of sleep( 5 hrs in day and 10 hrs at night)10 hrs straight?...for me that day will be the beast day LOL....).Also whether they sleep through night?..at what time they usually sleep at night..do you follow any bedtime routine...In my case Reyansh just goes for nap within 2 hours of his first waking.he just cant remain awake more than 2 hours between his naps.if i try him to remain awake more than that then he just gets fussy and cranky.i just read not to let them nap after 5 pm so that they will sleep thru night but it seems impossible for me.again he sleeps around 9- 9.30 pm but then again wakes up around 12.30 for the feed (every 3 to 4 hrs)and the cycle goes on till morning.he just slept once or twice thru night( 5 hours straight).If your kiddos sleep thru night then how you manage the feedings ....naps etc... Aayan sleeping pattern is like morning he wakes at 9 am.. Then he plays for around 2 -2 1/2hours and around 11.30 i give him oil massage for half an hour or 45 mins ..then give him bath..

Around 12.30 or max by 1 ..he sleeps after taking feed..he sleeps till evening 5.30 in evening..in between he get up around 3.30 for feed..then he plays or go out in evening ..if he is feeling sleepy then he soemtime takes nap around 8.30 for half an hour..

night time he sleeps around 11.30 take feed and sleeps ..normally wake up once or twice for feed during night.. Hi replied. I think advika follow the same pattern like rishon. She doesnt sleep at all in the afternoon may be 10 -15 min naps in between if she is tired...

Her evening goes watching TV or playing or if we go out in malls she enjoys naps.... I usually play the nursery ryhme video she enjoys watching that... try to sing with it...

She take her last feed at 11 and then I try to make her sleep by giving pacifier... she sleeps within 10 - 15 mins of time and then she sleeps till 4 without getting up but I ususally give her a feed at around 3 oclock.... she drinks while sleeping... and then she get up at 9 in the morning .. I give her feed at 8 or else once she get up ...

AFter this massage lady comes at 10 and she finish her bath at around 11 and i give her feed.. after this her mood if she wants she will sleep for 1/2 to 1 hours or else directly in night... with little nap in between... Abhis sleep and nap cycle is very erratic.During initial days he used to sleep all the time.Usually his night time sleep is dependant on his nap.Manytimes he cant nap more than half an hour and starts crying.Mostly everyday by 7.30 he is tired and wants to sleep.i feed him once around 7.30 to 8.30 then i change his diaper just before i sleep around 10.30 or 11pm.He wakes up when i change his diaper.Then he has a feeding and many times may sleep till 5 am.This happens if he just took half an hour nap in morning and another half an hour nap in evening.
Sometimes he takes a stretch of 2 to 3 hours nap in morning and one hour in afternoon.If thats the case he cant sleep from 11 to 5.He will wake by 3 am.Many times we have caught him being awake at 2 am playing !!!!
